Originally from La Grande; I grew up rough housing with six brothers and sisters.  It was probably one of them that first sent me to the chiropractor!  However, the chiropractic experiences that really molded my desire to pursue this career were two.  The first, a nasty shoulder injury in high school wrestling (yes I did wrestle against our beloved Crook County Cowboys).  My chiropractor got me back in the game when the orthopedist said I was out for the season.  The second and more life changing was a bizarre series of two street bike accidents close together that left me suffering unrelenting headaches.  My motorcycles were in worse shape however.

The chiropractor, relieving my headaches and getting me back to full activity, completely rejuvenated me.  Alleviating the headaches was, in hindsight just a portion of what he did for my overall health and wellbeing, but at the time, that was what I appreciated most.

It has been over 15 years now that I have had the second greatest job in the world - CHIROPRACTOR.  Fatherhood is number one!  I have four children currently ranging in age from 16 to 4: Conner, Brady, Chandler and Marin.  All have received chiropractic adjustments from birth, and are some of the healthiest children you will find.

I enjoy treating the people of our community, from the newborns to the 97 year olds, and everyone in between.  This is why we call our office a FAMILY health center.  I focus on each individual, their needs, goals and abilities to tailor specific treatment plans to achieve those goals.

Dr. Heidi Janosek grew up in the Portland area.  She decided that she wanted to be a chiropractor while in her junior year at Newberg High School.  The idea of alternative treatments for everyday problems appealed to her, so she left high school and started working towards her bachelor’s degree at PortlandCommunity College

Transferring from there, she spent three years attending GeorgeFoxUniversity majoring in biology.  Acceptance to WesternStatesChiropracticCollege in northeast Portland was next to follow.  The more she learned about how she could help people the more excited she was to complete her schooling and get to work.  Sports related injuries was a topic that interested her so much she joined a Sports Medicine club where she attended local sporting events and had the opportunity to treat athletes.

After four years of undergraduate work and four years of graduate education and clinical experience in the chiropractic field she received her doctor of chiropractic degree in June of 2007.  After passing national and state boards she was ready.  Dr. Heidi Janosek has been a licensed Chiropractor in the state of Oregon since 2007.

She moved to Prineville, Oregon to join Dr. Paul Slater and his team at Slater Chiropractic in December of 2007.  The central Oregon lifestyle treats her well and she is enjoying the sunshine over the rain!    She looks forward to meeting new people and helping them get out of pain and/or reach their health and wellness goals every day!
