Dr. Paul Slater

Originally from La Grande; I grew up rough housing with six brothers and sisters. It was probably one of them that first sent me to the chiropractor! However, the chiropractic experiences that really molded my desire to pursue this career were two. The first, a nasty shoulder injury in high school wrestling (yes I did wrestle against our beloved Crook County Cowboys). My chiropractor got me back in the game when the orthopedist said I was out for the season. The second and more life changing was a bizarre series of two street bike accidents close together that left me suffering unrelenting headaches. My motorcycles were in worse shape however.

The chiropractor, relieving my headaches and getting me back to full activity, completely rejuvenated me. Alleviating the headaches was, in hindsight just a portion of what he did for my overall health and well being, but at the time, that was what I appreciated most.

It has been over 20 years now that I have had the second greatest job in the world – CHIROPRACTOR. Fatherhood is number one! I have four children: Conner, Brady, Chandler and Marin. All have received chiropractic adjustments from birth, and are some of the healthiest children you will find.

I enjoy treating the people of our community, from the newborns to the 97 year olds, and everyone in between. This is why we call our office a FAMILY health center. I focus on each individual, their needs, goals and abilities to tailor specific treatment plans to achieve those goals.

Dr. Tobias Joyce

Dr Joyce grew up on a fourth generation cattle ranch in Juntura, Oregon (about 50 miles east of Burns). He graduated from Crane Union High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University. Dr Joyce graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. For over three years he has practiced in Eugene, Oregon. He is very excited to be back on the east side of the Cascades!

He has been under chiropractic care his entire life. From sports injuries in high school to the day to day labors of ranch work he did growing up, he always sought out a chiropractor to keep him going! Dr Joyce and his wife, who also grew up in Eastern Oregon, have three children. Their daughter Taylor who is 6 and two sons, Tanner and Brendan, are 4 and 1. They stay very busy these days keeping up with all their activities!

In his spare time, he enjoys getting outside and staying active whether that is playing a round of golf, taking the kids fishing, or helping out on the family ranch when visiting them. He especially loves the fall because it is the start of hunting season and Oregon State Football!! He and his family look forward to being actively involved in our community.
