Dr. Paul Slater

Originally from La Grande; I grew up rough housing with six brothers and sisters. It was probably one of them that first sent me to the chiropractor! However, the chiropractic experiences that really molded my desire to pursue this career were two. The first, a nasty shoulder injury in high school wrestling (yes I did wrestle against our beloved Crook County Cowboys). My chiropractor got me back in the game when the orthopedist said I was out for the season. The second and more life changing was a bizarre series of two street bike accidents close together that left me suffering unrelenting headaches. My motorcycles were in worse shape however.

The chiropractor, relieving my headaches and getting me back to full activity, completely rejuvenated me. Alleviating the headaches was, in hindsight just a portion of what he did for my overall health and well being, but at the time, that was what I appreciated most.

It has been over 20 years now that I have had the second greatest job in the world – CHIROPRACTOR. Fatherhood is number one! I have four children: Conner, Brady, Chandler and Marin. All have received chiropractic adjustments from birth, and are some of the healthiest children you will find.

I enjoy treating the people of our community, from the newborns to the 97 year olds, and everyone in between. This is why we call our office a FAMILY health center. I focus on each individual, their needs, goals and abilities to tailor specific treatment plans to achieve those goals.

Dr. Alexandra Greenberg

Dr Greenberg was born and raised in Prineville OR. She was an athlete growing up and participated in dance, volleyball, basketball and softball throughout the years. In high school she had three knee surgeries and was told she could never play competitive sports again. She always knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field to help other people with similar situations to hers. After studying Exercise Science at Pacific University, she got a job as a Chiropractic Assistant. One of the doctors she worked for was also a professor at the University of the Western States and convinced her she would make a great Chiropractor!

While at the University of Western States, Dr Greenberg earned her Masters in Sports Medicine as well as her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. She also earned another Bachelors degree in Human Biology. She chose to get her degree in Sports medicine so she could be better trained to help athletes in situations like hers, so she could help them as much as possible to reach their goals.

At the end of her schooling, she decided to come back to Prineville for her student internship. She grew up with Dr Slater’s two oldest children and came to Slater Chiropractic as a patient. So she thought it was only fitting to continue in the same clinic she started in! Dr Greenberg started as an official Doctor of Chiropractic here at Slaters in November 2019. She has been serving on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce for the last two years and enjoys being involved in the community.

Dr Greenberg enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. Going to Disneyland is her favorite adventure, but she also enjoys being in the outdoors, especially hiking with her dog!

Dr Evan Willow

Dr. Evan Willow was born and raised in Victoria B.C, Canada. Growing up in Canada he participated in multiple sports such as baseball and soccer. In 2014 he received a scholarship to play colligate baseball at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas where he also pursued a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. Dr. Willow has always had a passion for helping people growing up and knew he wanted to become a health care provider.

During his junior season at McPherson, he injured his lower back to the point could barely walk or even dress himself. After working with the team chiropractor for over a month he was able to get back on the field, and he immediately knew that chiropractic was the career he wanted to pursue. Upon graduation from McPherson in 2018, he spent a year as a teacher and strength and conditioning coach at an international boarding school in Canada where he specialized in developing strength programs for seasoned athletes and everyday students who wanted to learn more about strength training.

In the fall of 2019, Dr. Willow relocated to San Jose, California where he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. During his 3 years at Palmer, Dr. Willow became the president of the Motion Palpation Club where he specialized and taught specific palpations and adjustment techniques. In December of 2022, he graduated from Palmer with Magna Cum Laude honors as well as being nominated for the Clinical Excellence award which is presented to the student interns who display exemplary dedication and exceptional service to the Palmer Clinics and their patients.

After graduation, Dr. Willow and his fiancĂ© fell in love with Prineville and Oregon and all it has to offer. They are both active hikers, skiers and love the outdoors. Dr. Willow’s favorite hobby is golf, and he cannot wait to try all the different courses in the area (recommendations are encouraged).

Dr. Willow enjoys treating patients of all ages and has experience treating pediatrics, geriatrics, NFL and college athletes, as well as weekend warriors. He is passionate about providing excellent chiropractic care as well as giving you achievable at-home recommendations, so his patients can live a pain-free lifestyle.
