Non-invasive, drug-free relief for shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles, and plantar fasciitis — plus trigger point relief for the neck and back.
Shockwave therapy is extremely effective for extremity complaints — the shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, and foot pain that lingers for months despite rest, stretching, and other treatments. High-energy acoustic waves are delivered through the skin into injured tendons, ligaments, and muscles, increasing blood flow, breaking up scar tissue and calcium deposits, and restarting the body’s natural repair process.

Shockwave helps chronic shoulder tendon problems heal so you can reach overhead, lift, and sleep without pain.
Stubborn tennis and golfer’s elbow are some of the most common — and most responsive — extremity complaints we treat with shockwave.
Shockwave targets the tendons and soft tissue around the knee to reduce pain with stairs, squatting, and running.
Shockwave is highly effective for chronic Achilles pain and ankles that never fully recovered from a sprain.
A well-studied use of shockwave — relief for stabbing heel pain that hasn’t improved with stretching, rest, or new shoes.
Shockwave releases tight, tender muscle knots that cause pain, refer pain to other areas, and keep muscles guarded — helping spinal adjustments hold.
Shockwave can also help hip tendon pain and other sports injuries.
After an exam to confirm shockwave is a good fit for your complaint, we locate the most tender area and apply a gel to the skin. A handheld applicator then delivers a series of rapid pulses to the injured tissue. There’s no downtime after treatments — you can get back to your day right away.
Shockwave is often combined with spinal adjustments, extremity adjustments, corrective exercises, or custom orthotics so the injured area heals and the cause of the problem is addressed at the same time.
Shockwave therapy (also called extracorporeal shockwave therapy, or ESWT) uses high-energy acoustic waves delivered through the skin to injured tissue. It is non-invasive, uses no needles or medication, and is designed to stimulate the body’s own healing response.
Shockwave therapy is extremely effective for extremity complaints — shoulder pain (rotator cuff tendinopathy, calcific tendinitis), elbow pain (tennis and golfer’s elbow), knee pain (patellar tendinopathy), ankle pain (Achilles tendinopathy), and plantar fasciitis and heel pain.
Yes. Shockwave therapy is very effective for releasing trigger points — tight, tender knots in the muscles of the neck, mid back, and lower back. Releasing them reduces pain and muscle guarding and helps chiropractic adjustments hold.
You will feel a strong tapping or pulsing sensation, and tender areas can be uncomfortable during treatment. The intensity is adjusted to your tolerance, and most patients find it very manageable.
Most treatment plans involve about 3–6 sessions spaced roughly a week apart. Many patients notice improvement after the first few sessions, with continued healing in the weeks after the final treatment.
No. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Mild soreness or redness in the treated area for a day or two is common. We may suggest avoiding intense activity and anti-inflammatory medications for a short time so they don’t interfere with the healing response.
Shockwave is not used during pregnancy, over areas with active infection or tumors, on patients with certain bleeding disorders or on blood thinners, or over open growth plates in children. Your doctor will screen you before treatment.
