Chris Johnston

Office Manager, Billing Manager

Chris grew up in Southern Oregon and moved to Prineville with her family in 1988. Realizing she had a passion for music, she has been studying, writing and composing for over 25 years now. If not playing her guitar with her family or other musicians and friends, Chris and her husband spend much of their time keeping track of their four children’s highly active lives and enjoying being grandparents to their 7 grandchildren ages 1-10. Chris and her family enjoy the outdoors with much camping, hiking or traveling with close friends and family. These are just a few of the many hobbies Chris enjoys outside of work; if they aren’t outside it’s likely they are remodeling, building or re-furnishing furniture or even adventuring to find barnwood to turn into something beautiful to add to their home!

With over 15 years of experience as an office manager, Chris is a great asset to Slater Chiropractic. She joined the team in the summer of 2007 and has shown she has a well-rounded and diversified sense of how to effectively manage a remarkably busy office. Ranging from the technological aspects of the job to human resources, Chris brings an experienced perspective to her work. Chris was drawn to the compassionate and caring environment at Slater Chiropractic and loves that she can go to work and feel right at home while assisting in giving back to the health of people in the community. She looks forward to working with you and welcomes any questions you may have aa a current or future patient at Slater Chiropractic.

Laura has lived in Prineville for most of her life. She married an amazing man, Scott, and they have two beautiful children. Being an Oregon girl, she enjoys the outdoors immensely: hiking, camping and especially fishing. Before joining the Slater Chiropractic team, she was blessed to be a stay at home mom and enjoyed many precious years with her kids. Now she is a part of the Slater Chiropractic team at the front desk and cannot wait to great you all with an energetic smile!

Shelby Fisher

Certified Chiropractic Assistant

Shelby was born and raised in Prineville, OR. Coming from a background in phlebotomy, customer service/sales and massage therapy, chiropractic assisting has been a great way for her to stay busy doing a job she loves and believes in. Away from work Shelby enjoys spending time with family, drinking chai lattes and listening to live music. Her favorite part of being at Slater Chiropractic is having patients come in as strangers but leaving as friends.

Shaina Reid

Certified Chiropractic Assistant

Shaina is originally from a little beach town, Santa Cruz, in California. (Don’t hold it against her!) She and her fiancé moved up to Prineville last spring and they are loving it! She loves working at Slater Chiropractic for all the fun relationships and laughs. In her free time you can probably find her loving on her growing number of farm animals or baking something to share at the office.

Samantha Herinckx

Certified Chiropractic Assistant

Samantha is an Oregonian through and through. Born and raised in Corbet, OR. She moved to the valley for a short period before settling down in Prineville. She has been happily married for twenty years and has raised 2 entertaining teenage boys. She enjoys most activities that involve being outside. Some of the things she enjoys doing are archery, baking, bicycling, gardening, geocaching, hiking, rock hounding, snow showing and traveling. Most of her career has been caring for people. She enjoys what she does and helping all our patients when they come in.
